So I went to DC for the third year in a row to go to some of the festivities of the Mid Atlantic Leather weekend. I never do get to go to many events, but I was able to check out the Leather Mart. It was a whole $10 this year. That is more than the donation at IML in Chicago, but it was worth it. There was a lot of good stuff. I found myself almost buying some things from my favorite Mr. S leather. I hesitated because I am in San Francisco often and can just get things there. They always have the best toys and things you can't find anywhere else. Buddy Bailey from Sean Cody. Although it has been some years since he did a video. He only did two videos and it seems he is still really recognizable.
As I have mention on here before I am not much of a bar person. My friends and I went to this place called “Town”, I wish we had just not gone out at all. It was like I stepped back in time to the firs time I ever went to a gay bar when I was 21 going to Pegasus in Pittsburgh, PA. It was not that great.
If I had been able to go to more events I probably would have more to report on my DC weekend. I have to say the hot employee at Nasty Pig with the Butt. I was in heaven when I saw him.
Town is...different. Now my favorite place. Sorry you didn't have a good time. It's where Bear Happy Hour is every Friday night.

ReplyDeletePegasus was the first gay bar I ever went to also. Yeah, not that great. But hey, if you don't know what to expect, it's harder to be disappointed.

ReplyDeleteAnd I missed you guys somehow? I took photos with Dirk Caber, Jesse Jackman, Samuel Colt, and Chris Porter. I did take a photo with that same Nasty Pig boy, but on Sunday when he wasn't in a jockstrap and had grafitti all over him (too many people were taking photos of him already, lol).
ReplyDeleteTechnically Town Dancebotique is the best gay nightclub in the area, but it really depends on what you prefer since Town is usually where the twinks go. For MAL Weekend, DC Eagle (leather bar) was the bar to be at on Saturday night, and 9:30 Club (Reaction party) on Sunday night. Plenty of other bars/clubs you could've gone though. Maybe next time. ;-)
